Welcome to the world of Stitches Apart by Carolina Trinker.

sts.apart is a universe of hybrid textile art & design. Full of circuits, codes, and curious critters, it is a celebration of craft in a time of mass-migration to digital devices and beyond.

From low-relief knits to grid motifs and embroidered QR’s, sts.apart explores parallels between textile structures and the binary codes of our online webs. It navigates playfully through translations from language to reality and back. With references to alchemy, like elemental platonic geometries and color frequencies, it also questions the depth of our understanding of this virtual realm.

At the heart of it all, like the many hive-minded creatures found crawling amidst sts.apart pieces, collaboration is central to the coming-together of these spaces. With special moments bringing together artists of all disciplines including augmented reality animation and performance art, the brand ties local and global creative networks to construct magical experiences.
